  • 1 min read

Fabien shares his idea on how to make Sheffield a more mental health friendly city as part of our competition. He suggests that introducing meditation or mindfulness classes in schools will help people feel more relaxed and improve their mental health.

My idea to make Sheffield a more mental health

friendly city is to create local mindfulness or

meditation classes, in all schools and across Sheffield. They would be run to

help make people more relaxed and stop worrying.

When you get this relaxed sensation you tend

to feel a lot more happy and care-free.

At these mindfulness classes, there should also be a

chance to socialise and make friends. It should be made

for people with mental illnesses but anyone can

join because everyone can be a friend to those who are mentally ill.
